La Mano. Punta Del Este, Uruguay

By a Chilean artist, installed in 1982. One of Uruguay's most recognizable landmarks. The hand was made to serve as a warning to swimmers. Left of this pic, water gets rough. To the right, it gets more quiet.

We got up early for a bike ride and I can promise you that was the only time all day you could take a picture without 100s of other people in it!
