Just took the Shotover Jet up and down this gorge. An unbelievable experience! These boats can operate in less than two feet of water and whip you up and down the canyon rapids at over 50 mph coming within feet of the sheer rock walls then doing complete 360s. It's a real show but great fun and the scenery is magnificent - like everything in NZ!
It sure does look spectacular - but, is your insurance paid up??? Another Yikes!

ReplyDeleteIt was so fun - a little cheesy but the canyons we shot down were amazing. No way to hold a camera (plus they do a ton of photos and videos which they then want to sell you :))
ReplyDeletePast 24 hrs have been the first truly unconnected hours in a LONG time. Went to Milford Sound on an overnight boat ride which was great. Posts to follow ....
