Life goes on

Only a few blocks from the red zone people were exercising and having a ball in the city's beautiful parks, and right across the street from the worst hit area these two girls took a secnd to give us a wave on the way home from school.

  1. Sometimes I amaze myself!
Taking a close look at the above pictures and then doing a little internet investigation, here is my analysis:
The girls in the picture look quite fit and are carrying sports bags. They are wearing identical silver charm bracelets. The girl waving looks like she has sustained a sports injury. The thumb is wrapped in a way so that she can continue to play. The bracelets were donated to the women's netball team, "Silver Ferns", by a jewelry company called, "Evolve New Zealand". They have raised over $20,000 through the Red Cross for Canterbury,New Zealand for earthquake relief. I'm guessing someone gave the girls in the picture their bracelets for a show of solidarity or they may even be members of the Elite Ferns team. This is all more evident when the bottom picture is examined to see girls playing "Netball" (not basketball) in the background.
    Crow Out...
