Even when your new friend (who you met online at another food stall) show you a picture of what you are looking for. The food stall areas in many of these places have literally hundreds of places and there is very little help as few people spoke English well enough, at least here. But if you are in Singapore and want some Mala Hot Pot, we encourage you to try to find this place. 😀
