A Few Common Things on our Trip

1) John continues to be approached by people who just want to chat it up. This guy wanted to know how we found this hike. And tell us about his daughter who is a lawyer and a trip he made to D.C. and his memories of Rock Creek Park. And mostly to say we were very welcome to visit Taiwan and they enjoy having visitors.

2) The selfies are out of control. Many places now ban the use of selfie sticks, but that doesn't stop the selfie. This gal had her friends take photos for about 5 minutes then asked for the phone, where she reviewed all the pics, then started flipping her hair around an making selfie glam shots. There were probably 15 people patiently waiting (in line) to do the same act on top of this rock with the the city spread out below. Nobody seemed to mind how long she took.
