Just 30 minutes south of Da Nang is Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is one of the only significant cities not bombed during the American War (as it is known here). Nice old buildings and a big bonus - the old town area is only accessible to pedestrians and bikes. So for once in Vietnam you can actually walk the streets without having your eyes scanning 360 degrees to figure out who will mow you down. Hoi An is also home the the country's best Banh Mi. We went in search.
Banh Mi Phuong is the GO TO place!! Hoi An was my favorite place w/ the night street market & all the silk lanterns everywhere!!
