Beautiful Spring Day in Taipei

And I could wander the streets around our Da'an neighborhood all night. There are so many alleys and small street and lanes. It is sort of like NY's SOHO mwith a mix of high end and unique shops and restaurants, along with a great mix of small random restaurants and shops. And apartments and everything else. Great area.

Good to be able to stay close to the hotel, as John is grounded since last night with a fever and stomach bug. I am still recovering from the same thing we picked up from Halong Bay (not some crazy street food we ate). When it hits, you suddenly feel like your stomach is about to explode, or like some animal is in there. Then it kicks your ass for the next day or so.

Tonight, I walked by the restaurant below with all these burners loaded with clay/glazed pots of whole chicken and herbs that have been cooking on there for quite a while. We might just try it for lunch tomorrow. Chicken soup could be just what we need!
