Last Night in Siem Reap

We put on our standard "going out for fancy dinner" uniforms, then had a quick stroll on pub street. It's as bad and touristy as it looks but beer is a dollar at most places. Great dinner at Malis, run by Cambodia's hottest celebrity chef. He's bringing back the traditional Cambodian foods, so many ancient and unusual recipes. This place had, without doubt, the most beautiful indoor and outdoor dining room we've ever been in. We were almost done ordering when our server said "that's enough" then giggled. This morning our breakfast waiter touched my stomach and said something about "happy Buddha". OK OK, we get the picture. Time for a little cutting back. But the food has been a big part of the adventure and we are not quite ready to walk past it! Ah, perhaps a bit more exercise could be an option?

  1. No pictures of the dining room ? Happy Buddha tummy really funny but hard to believe you could gain weight with all the walking and athletic feats you've been doing. Enjoy every bite! Love you both and so glad you're having so much fun.
