Do you think we liked this place? Not really our style but look at the walls in the hallway. All handpainted. The other picture is of the lobby. One of the reasons this hotel is so beautiful is because the property itself is still owned by the Maharajah of Jaipur who also owns an interest in the hotel. This as we were told requires the property to be meticulously maintained to "royal standards". We asked when the last hotel remodel was, as the place looked like new everywhere, not a scratch or ding to be found. The staff gave us "the look" and said "never, it is constant effort". Did you even know there still were royal families in India that continue to live in their palaces?
